#NicklinUnseen. But not for much longer?

Today sees the launch of a significant exhibition of 50 photographs by the late Phyllis Nicklin of Birmingham between 1953 and 1969. The outdoor exhibition in Snow Hill Square (near to the station) runs until January next year, so we have plenty of time to go along and enjoy her work.

The Birmingham Post enthusiastically reports that Brumpic founder David Oram 'can be credited with her return to the public eye after discovering more than 1,000 35mm slides which he has opened up to a new audience'. Mr Oram has said he believes Nicklin’s work deserved a wider audience and she is comparable to the likes of Benjamin Stone in her importance as a Birmingham photographer.
