When I'm not writing this blog I earn a modest living by undertaking genealogy and family history research commissions on behalf of individual clients and their families. See my new website for details. I work across London, the former Middlesex area and the West Midlands as well as online. In additional to my general research I specialise in the Victorians and their institutions, philanthropy, Military history: First World War, Royal Navy 1820-1950; and 'old coppers' aka the history of London's Metropolitan Police.
